How it all began

"Exactly where is your vacation rental located?" or "How far away is your vacation home from X or Y?" If we had a nickel for each time a traveler asked us these questions we'd be rich! But nobody is giving away free nickels and the cost to advertise our vacation rentals online was getting pretty expensive. As managers of our own vacation homes we had many requests to show visitors exactly where our rentals are located. We began to ask why other vacation rental sites did not provide a basic map and we did not know of any other existing sites which allowed the traveler to search for rentals by a map.

The start

We purchased the domain name FurnishedHomes.com in 2006 and figured that would take care of everything - because all you need is a really cool domain name and the rest is history! Right? Not exactly! January of 2010 we expanded to include FurnishedRentals.com.

We set out to develop a site that allowed visitors to search by landmarks, zip codes, and places of interest. For example, "show me vacation rentals near the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France" or "show me vacation homes in the 90210 zip code", and more. Thanks to our very talented development team we are creating a premier vacation rental map.

Free Listings and Preferred Listings

Our basic listings are free! There's no catch. Upload your vacation rentals today and for even better results you can upgrade to a standard listing for $39 per year per listing or upgrade to a preferred listing for only $59 per year per listing. The standard and preferred listings showcase your property with more images, links to your personal web or social sites, and highlighted map icons. You can upgrade your listing for an entire year for the cost of what other sites charge monthly!

Furnished Rentals is a privately funded startup with offices in Tucson, Arizona. We could give you a list of accomplishments and education about our founders, however, we think it's more important to help you get what you want—great vacation rentals and great vacation renters—coming together in beautiful harmony on the map!
