Lawai is a nice small town next to famous Sunny Poipu. There is grocery shopping in Koloa, just 5 minutes away, and a small country market that sells fruit and drinks nearby. Also, a really neat Niihau shell store is in Lawai where you can buy shell jewelry and other interesting Hawaiian crafts. The Kauai Banyan Inn is owned by one family. It is a large estate in the town of Lawai and is 1 acre. There is a long driveway with cows to the left of the property and lots of Hau trees with a variety of flowers. All suites are 1 bedroom studios and come with fully equipped kitchens, private decks or lanais, full bath, linens, towels, banana bread, passion orange juice, and condiments.
