This newly and tastefully redecorated suite with hot tub, on the garden
level of a Heritage house, is located in Kits Point on a beautiful tree
lined street. The house is just across the bridge from downtown
Vancouver and 3 blocks from the ocean at Kitsilano Beach. The park
boasts a 110 meter, saltwater, outdoor swimming pool; 8 tennis courts; 2
basketball courts; children's playground; plenty of open space for
picnicking and playing games; and a waterfront fine dining restaurant
and bar. The Vancouver Museum; Space Center; Maritime Museum; Aquabus,
(a tiny boat that takes you across False Creek); and a pickup point for
the Vancouver Trolley Tours (hop on, hop off) are all located in Vanier
Park, just a few blocks from the house. In summer, the Shakespearean
Festival "Bard On The Beach" also sets up its tents here.
Walk or bike along the waterfront to Granville Island with its colorful
farmer's market; coffee shops; artist's studios; kid's market; water
park; waterfront yoga studio; live theatres; restaurants; pubs; charter
boats; and harbour cruises. If you'd like, you can stop on your way back
at Fisherman's Wharf for "Vancouver's Best Fish and Chips".
You can prepare your own meals in our fully equipped kitchen, complete
with new stainless appliances and gas range. Or if you'd rather just
take it easy, walk one block to the best selection of takeout in the
city. Vancouver is quickly becoming known for its world class cuisine.
Many of the finest restaurants are located along "Vancouver's Restaurant
Mile" on Fourth Avenue, just 5 blocks away. The neighborhood is also
home to one of the best shopping districts in the city. In the evenings,
stroll back home the long way, around the waterfront, with its gorgeous
views of Stanley Park and the lights of the city sparkling across False
Creek.
In the winter you can go skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing or tubing at
one of our local mountains: Grouse, Cypress or Seymour. Grouse Mountain
also has a restaurant and lookout at the top with views of Vancouver,
its surrounding area and the Southern Gulf Islands. Whistler is a 2 hour
drive away up beautiful Howe Sound. |
